Mark S. Western - Chairman, President & CEO
Mr. Western was born and educated in England, and spent the first twelve years of his professional career as an engineer, in oil and gas exploration and production. He participated in numerous onshore and offshore, well service, testing and production operations, in the North Sea, Middle East, Far East and North Africa, including DST (drill stem testing), Sand Fracture and Acid Stimulation programs. He also spent two years commissioning a production platform for Amoco in the Rijn Oil Field, Dutch Southern North Sea Sector. This involved the implementation and supervision of complex gas and water injection systems, formation stimulation and flow-assurance programs. In the early 90's, Mr. Western founded Completion and Production Services, Ltd., to lead exploration projects for Maersk Oil and Gas, with Schlumberger in Esbjerg, Denmark. He has performed testing, maintenance, and flow-assurance programs on some of the largest oil and gas fields in the world. In 199 Mr. Western relocated to the United States and pursued an alternative career path in the energy sector. During 1997, Mr. Western became President of a Las Vegas based LED lighting firm, and successfully negotiated a $39 million, five year contract with Illinova Energy Partners, a subsidiary of the $5.7 billion utility giant, Illinova. During February of 1998, Mr. Western formed an LED spin-off venture named UNERGI, Inc., and by August 1999, had negotiated a merger with public company, New Millennium Media International, and retired from the firm. Mr. Western returned to the Oil and Gas industry in 2002, and formed TEKOIL to develop and utilize revolutionary oil and gas recovery enhancement technologies, while building a competitive, highly visible, global energy production company. |
Gerald Goodman - Director & Chief Financial OfficerGerald is a partner in the Certified Public Accounting firm of Wiener, Goodman & Company, P.C. The regional firm located in Eatontown, NJ also has offices in New York and Pennsylvania. Gerald has vast experience in public accounting; he was the natural choice to chair the Audit Committee. Gerald provides audit, tax and management advisory services to his clients, and is the partner-in-charge of the SEC Practice Section of the firm. A major part of his client base is international, with clients in Hong Kong, United Kingdom, France, Germany and the CIS. "The many tax issues created by exploration in different parts of the world and its effect on the taxability in the United States makes assisting Tekoil in the financial area of the company as a director an exciting opportunity," according to Gerald. "I welcome the challenge to assist Tekoil in planning its financial structure to carry it into the year 2005 and beyond." Gerald received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Penn State in 1970. In 1983, he became a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. |
